presenting the 2013 Nairobi 48hr Film Project entries – screenings will be followed by a discussion on ‘Growing Independent Film in Kenya’
The 48 hr Film Project is a challenge that gets filmmakers to write, shoot and edit a movie in just 48 hours, testing their creativity and skill to create the best movie under a 48 hours deadline.
Among the films to be screened include:
‘Bulb’ by Riyo Films – a man fi nds himself out of his depth in a changed world, pushing him to conisder his values (Winner of Best Film – Judges Choice), _ ‘Dead Wrong’ by Team Matotoya – a man receives a visit from the Grim Rippera and his world is turned upside down (Winner of Best Film – Viewer’s Choice), _ ‘Exit Strategy’ by Look & Feel media – after a wild night, a girl goes to extraordinary measures to escape the consequences of her evening (Winner Best use of ‘line of dialogue’)
as well as ‘Grief’, ‘Natural Selection’, ‘Rolex’, ‘The Exterminator’, ‘Unbound’.
