The second edition of the Film Africa
– Documentary Film Festival continues
celebrating Kenya’s long and rich
history in filmmaking through screening
documentaries made by Kenyans, and
about Kenya. It intends to celebrate the achievements of the documentary
genre around the world, offers insights into this multi-layered and vibrant
phenomenon, and invites all kinds of interested parties to discussions
about the topic. Among other festival highlights, there will be a photo
exhibition of Images of Kenya, a meeting of East African filmmakers to
discuss pertinent issues affecting the industry, a short film corner for
students, a capacity building workshop, and the continuation of the “one
minute-film” competition which was launched last year.
