On July 5th and 6th the MJC will host Mambo (Put A ring on) a star –studded theatrical play celebrating the African man while also focusing on issues they face in the community. The plot revolves around Mambo, a wealthy African Business Bachelor, who decides to propose to his long term girlfriend Raha, a beautiful & loving live-in nurse. She is taking care of Mambo’s mother who suffers from dementia with the help of Muhillinzi the comical & diligent butler. It seems like they are headed towards a fairytale life, but Raha has a dark lurking secret likely drive them apart.
The executive Producers are Pst. Cathy Kiuna and Jinna Mutune and is written by Jinna Mutune & Sam Gichuru. The cast is the “who’s who” of the Kenyan acting scene with the leading roles being played by Paddy Mwangi and Kambua, and Kawira, Jason Runo and Danco rounding off the supporting cast. There will also be special musical appearances by Pst. Cathy and Juliani. Get your tickets via M –ticketing by dialing 1511.
